Who we are

Audrey Ahlvers, LCSW, M-IOP, MBA-C

Audrey Ahlvers is a Performance Psychologist and Executive Coach with a professional background spanning military leadership, clinical practice, and organizational psychology. She served for ten years as a United States Army officer, including deployment as a Logistics and Medical Officer during Operation Enduring Freedom IV. Raised in Germany until age eighteen, Audrey’s early exposure to cross-cultural environments informed her later work in leadership and systems under pressure.

Following her military service, Audrey spent thirteen years in clinical and administrative practice as a licensed clinical social worker. Her work focused on adult clients navigating leadership stress, neurodiversity, communication challenges, and professional transitions. She provided assessment, counseling, and performance-oriented interventions and is a published author in the Journal of Human Behavior in the Social Environment. She is also a select provider for the North Carolina First Responders Peer Support Network.

Audrey currently works with senior leaders and professionals in high-responsibility roles, integrating executive coaching, performance psychology, and targeted clinical interventions, including EMDR applied for performance enhancement. She holds advanced degrees in Clinical Social Work and Industrial–Organizational Psychology and is a current MBA candidate.

In addition to her professional work, she participates in community service with her cat, Burger, providing emotional-support outreach at civic and community settings such as assisted living facilities. In her free time, she grows rare plants, is an avid reader and trivia player, writes screenplay, and serves as a hair model for her daughter.

Burger, trained therapy sphynx cat

Hello, Meet Burger, your therapy cat and Tuxedo Sphynx companion. You’ll find him hypoallergenic, affectionate, and highly attuned to emotions—always ready to provide comfort while maintaining a calm, professional presence. He communicates through gentle chirps and a distinctive “engine-like” purr, letting you know he’s present and attentive.

During sessions, Burger offers soothing lap sits and calm, reassuring companionship. He also accompanies his owner on community visits, including errands and public spaces, where he provides emotional support in a variety of settings, from stress-reducing visits at the polls to quiet moments in your home or office.
